Anatomical and dimensional evaluation of the incisive canal in brazilians using cone-beam computed tomography

نویسندگان

چکیده

Objective: To evaluate the dimensions of incisive canal (IC) and foramen (IF) in dentate maxillary anterior edentulous (MAE) individuals using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Methods: This retrospective, cross-sectional study analyzed MAE aged ≥ 50 years both sexes. Using CBCT, we measured buccal-palatal (BPW) mesial-distal (MDW) widths IF length buccal cortical (BC) palatal (PC) bones angulation (A) IC relation to nasal floor. Results: 151 CBCT were analyzed, which 74 77 with a mean age 63.3 ± 7.9 61.4 9.3, respectively. Compared group, group showed higher MDW (p = 0.034) and, IC, lower BC 0.000), PC 0.006), A 0.000). In individuals, was men when compared women 0.030). Conclusion: smaller, greater Brazilian MAE, male highlighting importance planning, absence teeth.

The mandibular incisive canal and its anatomical relationships: A cone beam computed tomography study

BACKGROUND To avoid postoperative injuries in the interforaminal region, presence of the Mandibular Incisive Canal (MIC), its extension and canal positioning in relation to the cortical bone and alveolar process were investigated by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). MATERIAL AND METHODS One hundred CBCT examinations obtained by means of the i-CAT CBCT imaging system were analyzed in multi...

Evaluation of neurovascular anatomical variations in maxillary anterior region in cone beam computed tomography images

Introduction: Incisive foramen in the maxilla is the oral terminus of the nasopalatine canal. This region is important in implantology, Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the  neurovascular anatomical variations in the maxillary anterior region, observed on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. Materials &Methods: In this cross-sectional study, maxillary CBCT ima...
